Displaying text on LCD using Sensor Shield v5 connected to Arduino MEGA2560

Title explains it all.

I have an Arduino MEGA2560 with a Sensor Shield v5 connected on top of it and I have my LCD screen connected to my sensor shield and I'm wondering how I can go about using code to display text onto my LCD screen.

Sure there are many examples of that on this forum.. Since you have chosen not to describe what you want to do with the sensor shield or what the project is about... You'll understand that the answers you will receive will probably follow your input... or lack of it..
