Displays Grrrrr

Hi.

As a complete newbie I would like some advice with OLED & LED display modules please.

I have just come into this interesting world of Arduino and decided to look at FM radio projects. I have to say that display modules are giving me some grief.

I have tried 5 or 6 projects from YouTube and websites that recommend the Nokia 5110 OLED display or the standard 2 line LED modules.

The trouble I have is that while I can get the radio parts of some projects to work just fine I can't get the displays to work and at best I get the light to come on.

Does anyone that some schematics leave a lot to be desired as far as accuracy is concerned or could it be power supply issues on my part because I'm trying to use the onboard power from either my Nano or UNO.

I do have a breadboard power supply module that is configurable and clips on the end of the breadboard, but I haven't used it yet.

Any advice would be welcome.

Regards.

What, exact, LCD displays do you have? Post data sheets or links to where you got them.

Simple 16x2 or 20x4 character LCDs are not difficult. There are the same displays with I2C adapters that are even simpler using the right library.
