@felic I would like to speak with you via DM regarding the Holofan project thread that is now closed. I have a similar project and I would like to pick you brain. Unfortunately I'm to dumb to figure out how to send you a DM and got my last post deleted when I put my email in the post.
Please Be aware that lots of people don't want DM /PM.

Thanks to all those who helped and added to this list.
If only because they are then restricting their useful advice to one person.
The whole reason why these fora exist as such, is so that people can research for previous solutions to the same problem. That hopefully allows them to solve the problem with no further effort from the advisers. Only where that fails should it be necessary for someone to ask a new question
On this account, the concept with the newer forum of "closing" threads, is a trifle inappropriate. If a new question adds information to an older thread, then the older thread is essential background. Presumably the intent of "closing" is indeed, to discourage inappropriate diversions.
You have a short memory The old forum also had that functionality.
But it did not happen automatically.
I think it actually did happen automatically. You can't expect moderators to go through topics
@h1ghy1eld If you want to DM me, just do so. I don't know if I can help though.
The whole concept of closing threads automatically or claiming that replying to old threads is a bad thing is baseless and ridiculous in my opinion...
Topic split from another topic. Please do not add your own questions to the end of other people's topics.
