DMX Lighting Code Help

I'm trying to do studio lighting for a indoor G Scale layout our club is building similar to what Miniatur Wunderland and others do to control LED lights to do Daylight to nighttime lighting, and of course to it on a budget. I have purchased the equipment but can not figure out the code to make it work, I am also new to ardunios. I am using 1 light at the moment to see if the lighting is correct then will be getting 4 to 8 more. We will be looking to have daylight on for 10 to 15 minutes then fade to night time for the same and then loop until power is shut off

I have the following parts:

Elegoo - UNO R3

CQRobot - DMX Shield Max485

Laluce Natz - 24 LED Par Light

3 Pin DMX Cable

1 -- DMX Terminator

Please let me know if this is something you can help with

What signals will you be sending to the Arduino via the DMX shield. Does the cqrobot library help any?

I will be using DMX Simple for the code to the Ardunio

I have no experience with this stuff and there are a few model rail enthusiasts here who may be better able to help you, but by the look of your exisitng G scale pictures, your layout needs aren't that complex. What controls them and what do you want to Arduino to do?

It may make sense to use DMX to fit in with your other needs, but equally, if you want to run lights to a timetable, it may be enough to command a virtual turnout that's really an Arduino input that tells it when to start the cycle and let it manage the lights by itself.
