Does a pin wear out?

Does a pin's constant usage as 5V supply wear it out over time? If a pin is used to supply power to a sensor and it work fine now, will over time the pin become weaker? I have a sensor what is used sometime and shut off some times, so is controlled by a pin.

Thank you.

How much current does the pin have to supply? (I ask with some trepidation)

Its a general question. Just curious if this sort of thing can happen over time. The pin is on a Uno and the sensor draws about 20mA

The connectors are rated for a certain number of insert/remove operations, after which the springiness of the springy parts may have deteriorated, and they might not make good contact.

There is no reason to expect pins to wear out “electrically”, as long as they are used within specs.

westfa (and everyone else): Thank you! That answers my question I think.
