Hello fellow tinkerers! I'm new to the Arduino world and to this forum. I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this topic but I hope I can get answers for my questions about a certain shield that is driving me mad right now.
I bought a Wifi shield from a local retailer lately. It's got Duinofun.com and Eduino WiFi sheild labels on it but when I went to the website, it wasn't very helpful at all. It uses a Microchip MRF24WB0MB wireless chip. After comparing it to photos of other WiFi shields on the interwebs, it seems to be an AsyncLabs WiShield 2.0 clone but with an addition power on LED. I tried using the WiShield library but I could not get the WiFi to switch on and connect. I've noticed that the WiShield library wasn't compiling properly with the latest Arduino IDE and I found modifications that allowed it to compile but it still didn't work. I also tried an older release where errors do not appear but still no joy.
Does anyone have experience on this shield? Any idea what I'm doing wrong? Could it be my jumper settings? I have doubts that maybe the shield itself is defective but I'd like to try all possible options first before proceeding to return it.
Thanks in advance to those who will reply to this thread.
