I bought a shield. the internal width of the Grove connector sockets is 8.36 mm
the plug connectors I bought are 8.52 mm wide
if I hone the edges off the plugs, they still won't fit, because they are also too thick.
if anyone has a set of Grove connectors that actually connect, and a set of digital calipers, please post the dimensions of proper functional Grove connectors
Maybe you got a PH connector, It's dont fit.
But Grove uses a HY connector.
Have you seen this webpage Grove System it has some dimensions.
I have in the past used bare female sockets without a housing. I used heat shrink around them
every groove module is sold with a cable and different cables are available to buy too. so I have plenty of connectors

They suggest that their STEMMA cables will fit into Grove connectors
