Does Arduino suports this Custom LCD?

Hi.. I'm working at a project where I'm gonna need to order a custom lcd and I found this factory.

http://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Segment-custom-lcd-display-with-white_1999568967.html

Is arduino cabable to drive this LCD?

ANY idea, will be apreciated.

Thank you very much

Rodrigo

It has poor documentation, it only sayd it's 3.3V.

I'm gonn ask them.. of they do.. So Could be possible?

If you solve the 3.3V compatibility yes, but you'd have to create your own code library.

You're gonna need the datasheet for the driver chip they're using so you know which pins do what.

No idea.

I think the people to ask are the people who make the LCD.

I have found this one that comes with some info.

Could anyone tell me if it can work with arduino ?

Depends. What controller is attached to the display?

Hi...

I need to ask them.

Which controllers are most Commons in arduino, then I could search by its controller

Tks a lot

You should be able to find supported drivers with this as a starting point:

It simply doesn't work that way.

If it's a bare LCD with "zebra stripe" connector then there is no "common controller".

Every LCD needs a custom PCB and controller chip. You're expected to provide that PCB yourself (or pay them to do it for you).

Bottom line: There is no way to buy that screen at that price and use it with an Arduino.
