Hey! Does the arduino Yun outputs AC signal? I'm a bit unclear with the signals input and output for the Arduino.. Could someone explain it to me? Thank you!
No all outputs are between 0V and 5V, this is known as a digital output.
Use Linux synthesize sound?
sox -n output.wav synth 10 sine 60
creates a 10 seconds sine wav file at 60Hz
play -n -c1 synth 10 sine 60
play audio directly to /dev/audio (usb sound adaptor), play is part of sox.
sox is missing at current Arduino Yun OS - Attitude Adjustment but exist at Barrier Breaker and Chaos Calmer.
Plan B:
The CPU of Yun AR9331 has I2S interface (Integrated Interchip Sound) . To utilize it we could generate high fidelity AC signal.
Plan C:
Connect I2C/SPI DAC (Digital-to-analog converter) with AR9331 to generate AC signal.
Plan D:
Cloud computing, scale up to cloud.
One sample online tone generator:
write web scraping code to capture audio file.
Plan E
Plan ahead!
