Does not connect to WiFi when country changes

My R4 UNO WiFi was working fine in USA. I could see it online in IOT Cloud. But when I moved to India it fails to connect to my home WiFi though I started all over again and entered the new WiFi credentials and the secret key . The board seems to work with Non Wifi sketches but not with WiFi. It repeatedly gives error "Fails to connect to Bhoomi (name of my WiFi) retrying after 500 ms" . Can anyone help..?

This thread shows a solution...

I face exactly the same problem when I moved from USA to India. My R4 UNO WiFi was working fine in USA and I could see it online in IOT Cloud. But it fails to connect top my Home Wifi here in India and gives the same error "Fails to connect ...retrying after 500 ms ". I have entered my WiFi credentials and the secret key correctly.
I would like to know : 1. How to read the WiFi Credentials stored on the board.?
2. How to download the sketch from the Board to Laptop to look at what has been uploaded to the board.

My issue resolved. ! I tried connecting to my android phone as hotspot and also kept a simple password without any special characters. I was delighted to see my UNO R4 WiFi board come online. Now I need to investigate why it did not connect to my Home Wifi which had one special character #.

My issue resolved after I removed special character # from my WiFi password and also used my Android phone as Hotspot. I was delighted to see my R4 UNO WiFi Board come online at last.

Very good. If you get the time, write a "lessons learned" and step-by-step solution so the next person can independently solve their issue.
