Hi, I want to use an external battery to power a servo motor, however using TinkerCAD, it shows that the micro servo will die if I plug it in. Attached is a photo of the circuit, would I need a resistor to reduce the voltage going to the servo?
Your motor can get up to 6V it seems and you feed 9V.. so not good. That's what the software says.
A resistor based construct would limit the current and thus prevent the motor from working well.
ā You need a DC-DC step-down converter to bring the 9V to 6V.
PS: This type of 9V battery is ill suited for a motor, it's for smoke detectors and the likes where current draw is small.
Ok thanks for the advice
