Donation Box at kids museum

Hello, I work at a kids' museum and was asked to make a fun donation box. I have been messing with a NANO for a couple months. I have 2 types of sensor; a breakbeam, and a HC-sr04 distance sensor.

I would like to make it so when someone approaches, the distance sensor will light up some LEDs to get their attention, then when money passes through the breakbeam, a servo will turn with a sign.

I have so far figured out a couple separate codes for each sensor, but am getting confused on how to combine separate sensors, even after reading posts.

Can anyone point me to a simple solution?
