Don't see Arduino Uno in "device manger"

I just bought the Arduino starter kit for beginners. I installed the IDE correct, I think, but I have some problems with uploading the "Blink" script to the Arduino UNO.

When I plug in the arduino, I don't get any "plugin sound". The arduino is not recognized in the Device Manager. The book says that the Arduino device should be under the category "Other devices" or "Unknown devices", but I see neither of them.

Under "Ports (COM & LPT)", I see "Standard serial connection via Bluetooth (COM3)" (and COM4).

Make sure the USB cable is completely plugged into both the Arduino board and the PC.

You may have a damaged/defective or charge-only USB cable. Try a different cable.

What do you see in device manager when the Arduino is not connected? What do you see in device manager when the Arduino is connected?

If a new COM port shows when the Arduino is connected, that is the one to choose in the IDE. It does not have to show Arduino, might say something else in case of a clone.
