Don't upload code to Arduino Mega 2560, also TX/RX leds don't flash

So, when I try to upload my code to arduino mega, it doesn;t upload. Also, the TX/X leds don't flash during uploading. And then error message pops up. It's like this:

avrdude: stk500v2_setparm(): failed to set parameter 0x9e
avrdude: stk500v2_command(): unknown status 0xc8
avrdude: initialization failed, rc=-1
         Double check connections and try again, or use -F to override
         this check.

avrdude: stk500v2_command(): unknown status 0x01
avrdude: stk500v2_disable(): failed to leave programming mode

Oh, forgot to say. Arduino gets power.

Ok, now everything is okay :slight_smile:

I have exactly the same problem !!

Do i need to solder pins together on the board or am I not seeting up the settings right ?

Anyone know which "Tools" parameter I need to set ?

Am using a NFC shield from Seeend with a MEGA 2650 plugged into Windows XP USB port
