Doodle Bot OSX will not transfer programs to controller...

I'm running OSX 10.6.8. Arduino IDE 0022, as per instructions that came with the bot. Running the board as a NG or older w/wATmega8 as per instructions. I open up the sample file, it compiles fine. and two USB ports show up when I open up the tools > serial port.

It gives me this error, and I'm not sure why.
"avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding"

Any thoughts?

Why are there two? You only have one Arduino (or clone), don't you?

idk what you mean by that, but it shows a bunch of ports, I connected to all of them, and none of them worked.
