Door Alert via Sellphone and Answer Option... PLAN PLease

I want to make a Notification for my Sellphone. I have a Door Bell which has open Cables and i could take the Signal and send it to my Arduino which send after that a Massege to my Sellphone is that Possible? the next level is that i send a Messege (sms or....) back with a number which says per Speaker "im not there pls call me" or "Pls let the Package in the box" something like that.

I hope you understand my pls!! Maybe anyone could tell me how i Build it.

because i moved in the Basement and i dont know who stands in front of my Door and i want a few teckii things Down there.

What you want to do sounds possible but it may not be practical.

First things first. How much experience do you have with the Arduino ?

Reading the input from the doorbell and sending an SMS sounds OK but have you considered how long SMS messages can take to be received ?

Do you know other options for sending me a message from Arduino maybe in coopertion with raspberry PI?
But which messanger?

How will you know who is at the door? If you don't know, wouldn't you always send the same SMS back? Then you might as well play a pre-recorded message.
