Dragino exercise using boot loader?

Hi I've been messing around with a Dragino ms14 http://www.dragino.com/products/mother-board/item/72-ms14-s.html with a m32w http://wiki.dragino.com/index.php?title=M32W shield and using Yun.

I have been trying to reproduce this exercise: http://wiki.dragino.com/index.php?title=Arduino_Yun_examples#Log_sensor_data_to_USB_flash See: log data to usb flash.

Following the exercise, i get a file not found message (as defined in the sketch) in the ide serial monitor. The sketch does run though and keeps looping trying to find the file. I looked at the file structure of the dragino via my laptop and the usb flash data/datalog.csv do not appear so that error kind of makes sense. I reformatted two different usb drives to both fat and mac extended with no luck. Elsewhere I learned I maybe should add boot loader to the sketch and run avrdude to upload the sketch to the m32w. I read the boot loader page but I'm still pretty confused as to what I'm actually supposed to do or even if I should do it.

As an alternative test, I tried loading the yun example bridge>Datalogger and that didn't give me anything in the monitor.

So in short, I can get my sketches over to the Dragino and they usually seem to run but the bridge to the usb doesn't seem to be set up right. Any suggestions on what to try next?

Thanks Mike

@mcemond,

Can you talk a bit more about your hardware setup? It appears you've tried the normal things. I expect at this point, it is either a typo, or one of the instruction sets you have is wrong.

SonnyYu's ideas are always worth trying.
