Driver (exe) for W10 ?

Hello,

I am new in arduino Nano. I develop a program for this Nano on a computer which already has the driver, and now I want to install the arduino on another computer which is working on windows 10.

Do you know if such file exists? I found a folder with .cat and .inf file in it but it needs to go on the device manager to update the driver of the unknown usb device, which is not very convenient.

Thank you in advance for your help !

The drivers are freely available on GITHUB

Its just a matter of clicking in the INF file and in the box that pops up clicking install.

You could also package them yourself into an EXE.

Thank you for your answer. I have no experience for packaging in exe. What do you mean? Create myself an executable? If yes, do you have any software to do this ?

This looks like a good starting point.

Although there are quite a few other options if you Google "create an exe driver package"

Ok thank you for your answer. I will investigate all this because it doesn't seem easy to do for someone with 0 experience like me^^

May I ask why you must have the drivers in an executable seperate package ?

IT departments just use the drivers from an unzipped version as they are easier to verify as benign or just pick a specific board driver.

Its not a task intended for anyone with zero experience.

Sorry to answer so late. I didn't see your question.
I ask this because my goal is to give to my client an executable which install by itself the driver of the arduino, instead of installing manually when he connects the Arduino for the first time on his computer.

Almost any hardware (not just Arduino) will offer up a driver install option when that hardware is first introduced to a computer.

Only successive attachments of the same hardware will not prompt (usually) for new drivers.

It seems like yo may be trying to re-invent the wheel a little.

With this device I need to go on the device manager to install manually the driver because when I connect it to the computer, nothing happens.
It is why I asking the question originally.

I still think it is as you said and above your skill level.

Clone NANO and real NANO use different driver and I still dont know which your is ???????

It is this one :
https://www.sunfounder.com/board/arduino/nano/sunfounder-nano-v4-0-for-arduino.html

And I confirm I am not skill enough to create my own driver but I wanted this information to transfer it to the correct person in my company ^.^

So thank you for your answers and have a nice day !
