driver for nema 34

Hi

i have a big easy stepper motor driver and believe that the max currant is 2amp. the motor we have is just not powerfull enough for what we need so have purchased nema 34 rated at 4.2 amp

is there a driver out there compatible with arduino that we can use?

Gecko is the top of the line www.geckodrives.com
the gecko can do up to 70 volts
and if you use a low volt stepper like 2 or 3 volts, you can get the motor to deliver a LOT of power.

on e-bay, there are a lot of stepper drivers that are rated for more,
warning, do not get a 3 amp driver for a 3 amp motor. get one that is 25% over rated, or more.

Leadshine is another brand - may not be as expensive as Gecko.

Most drivers can be controlled with an Arduino - especially if they just require step and direction signals.

This Simple Stepper Code could be used for testing.
