I am planing a heliostat driver system.
each "pod" will have 2 motors to control.
the reflection will fall onto 4 light sensors (2 for each motor).

I am thinking I need 4 analog inputs. (2 leds,current sensor,potion sensor.) and 2 digital outputs for the directional control.
I want to connect (up to 8 pods, ~6m between each one) pods to a main driver that will calculate the sun position and take over each pod in turn to put in an approximately correct position (the Ardunio)
what systems can I use to communicate over the distance?
i am also thinking the Ardunio will transmit an ID of 1 to the 1st pod which transmits a 2 to the 2nd pod(etc)
