Driver Probs for Vista Home on Dell Inspiron 1525 w/ATMega 328P Uno

When I tried to install this first ever board I purchased, I followed the directions on loading in the Driver for Vista...
I got a totally different set of stuff in my "System" directory...didn't find any labeled "Ports"...When I tried to install the driver, the computer didn't recognize the driver (xxxxx.inf file) under the "Drivers" directory... Instead, it went to the sub directory (FTDI) and assigned the driver to a Universal Serial Bus Controller, not to a Com Port. When I started the Arduino environment, Com3 was checked, and when I removed the Uno, Com3 was still there.

The lights on the board did light up, so I presume there is just something I am missing or that the Vista OS is not doing properly.

The board I bought is an OSEPP Uno...

Please advise?

These instructions?

If you purchased the "Osepp Uno" (Ardruino Compatable). Do not select board Ardruino Uno, Select the "Lilypad Ardruno w/ATmega328"
