Driving DC Motor From PWM Signal

I've just joined. I've not programmed an Arduino as yet! I did not see any way of searching for relevant posts??

I have a small RC aircraft that uses a DC motor (fairly rare in the RC moddlers world). I am intending using an Arduino - perhaps an Attiny to convert a PWM signal from a receiver to DC drive to the motor.

Yes, this is the lazy approach to programming, but I thought there may be a chance someone else may have done this, and while I labour away getting to grips with my Arduino Uno board, I might throw out a feeler so I hopefully do not need to re-invent this particular wheel - and probably get a decent method rather than something clumsy from my efforts.

All suggestions welcomed.
