Driving display Digital Vision DG-24064-50 S2MBLY-H

Hi,

I need to drive with Arduino (Nano v3.0 or Mega 2560) the Digital Vision DG-24064-50 S2MBLY-H display. I searched for documentation, datasheets, lcd libraries and so on but I found only this: http://www.dema.net/pdf/dain/DGF-24064-50-S2MBLY-H-323-61441-1002.pdf

Could someone help me?

Thanks

I think this is the page from the manufacturer : http://www.datavision.com.tw/en/lcm_02_1.php?P_Id=39 It seems like a normal LCD display, perhaps the LiquidCrystal library can be used : http://arduino.cc/en/Tutorial/LiquidCrystal

it is a graphical display I think and my first problem is the connection between Arduino and the display because I am not sure on how to connect. The second problem is write the code to drive the display.

Did you click on the link in my previous post for the LiquidCrystal tutorial ?

yes, I did but the question is that I can't identify pins on my lcd because I don't know what they are due to complete assence of indications on the pcb display board.

When you have a look at that manufacturer page, you see the bottom picture with 20 dots on the right. Those are the pins.

Yes but the question is that my display had 10 pins and a power supply - the display type is DG-24064-50 S2MBLY-H and not simply the DG-24064 (or DG-24064-2 or DG-24064-24).
So I need to know how to connect it to Arduino and what kind of library I must use and if possible I need a code example also.
I attach some picture of the dispaly…

I have been searching for that display with that connector, but I can't find it. The PDF file you found seems to be the only documentation for it. It shows the pin numbers and what they are. The connector has label "J1", I guess that is pin 1. You can verify that with Vss at pin 8. Can you check if that is connected to the ground of the circuit board ?

Next step is the usage of those pins. Perhaps you can find a display with the same controller. This is (a little) like it: http://www.topwaydisplay.com/Pub/Manual/LM24064EDC-Manual-Rev0.1.pdf

pin 8 seems to be connected to gnd... ;)

I found this: http://kimboricha.blogspot.it/2013_04_01_archive.html

it seems to have the same onboard controller and interface....

Does anybody still needed in Digital Vision DG-24064-50 S2MBLY-H library for Arduino? I've started one, but it is not 100% complete.

Hello everyone!!!

I need this library for Arduino, anybody could help me please?

thank you so much…

If you need a lib for the DG-24064-50 S2MBLY-H... then maybe try U8g2. The controller is a classic T6963 which should be supported out of the box by u8g2: https://github.com/olikraus/u8g2/wiki/u8g2setupcpp#t6963-240x64

The version of display discussed here contains only S6A0065 master driver and LC7940N segment drivers and no high-level controller like T6963.

Library is still unfinished (on hold) but at least has basic functionality:

I recommend to use Arduino Mega as this display module do not have its own memory and standard Atmel 328 are low on RAM, barely enough to drive the display and leaving no space for other activities.
