It is half of the h bridge in a servo that has burnt, but with shipping its almost 9 pounds for one, it seems a bit pricey to me,

Here in Australia, if you are registered customer, free over night courier, if before 6pm. Even for $1.88 item.

Never ever had to pay any shipping fees in over 40 years buying stuff from Farnell. Maybe it is different outside the UK?

I have to pay 9 Euros minimum for shipping (in Spain).
Order one resistor? 9 Euros shipping.
I don't use them very often.
PS: The electronics shop down the road buys loads of stuff from them and he pays the same...I sometimes tag components on the back of one of his orders.
