Has anyone ever made an acoustic drum trigger using an arduino? I am curious is you used an off the shelf trigger (like Ddrums) or had to fabricate your own. Id like to pre-record my kick drum and put the sound file on an SD card and then run both my kick drums triggers to the arduino to play the same sound.
A while ago i tried to do some drum triggering but did it through Midi. Hooked it up to my laptop and used Logic pro and EzDrummer. The triggers where piezos stuck with some gavertape to the plastic (crappy drum kit).
The problem that i encounterd was a delay that was a bit to long. But it was an quick project so did spend much time on it.
