DRV8825 not drawing current through Vin

Hello,
I have a DRV8825 connected to my steppermotor with a 12 V 2A power supply attached to my Arduino. The driver is connected to the Vin, but when I measure the current in series between Vin and Vmot I can't measure a current?
Why is this happening?

Do you have Arduino Ground connected to Gndmot?

Yes, I do. I can feel the steppermotor, because I uploaded the code, butit doesn't rotate. It just kind of knocks on the table every 2 seconds.

IIRC there's an enable pin to reduce the current on the 8825, what have you connected that to? Have you set a motor current by adjusting Vref?

Perhaps the power supply is overloaded and shutting down.

If you have not set the current limit correctly on the DRV8825, that is the very first and most important step. Set it to 1 Ampere/winding or less.

The reset and sleep pin have been connected to 5V, Dir and step to di's, The two gnd's to the gnd of the arduino and enable is disconnected.
