DS1307 Questions

Hello folks, I am working with DS1307, I want it to work on battery all the time and my data and click pins will be connected to the microcontroller pin which is at 3v. 1. How can I make it send data to the microcontroller (should I use pull-up resistors for 3v) 2. How to make the power off condition - I have one VCC pin, but its operating voltage is 3- 3.3 V.

I am working with DS1307, I want it to work on battery all the time and my data and click pins will be connected to the microcontroller pin which is at 3v.

That will not work as the I2C interface is deactivated if the voltage on the Vcc pin is below 1.25 * Vbat. So if you have a standard 3V lithium battery (which usually has about 3.3V), the voltage on Vcc has to be above 4.2V to enable access to the chip.

  1. How to make the power off condition - I have one VCC pin, but its operating voltage is 3- 3.3 V.

As described above you have to power this with 5V to enable access to the chip.
