Got strange inconsistent problem with DS18B20 OneWire and esp8266. Inside it’s working fine but outside putting the sensor in the pond I get frequent error -127 reading. I can filter out but would like to get idea if someone knows why. Can it be a ground issue? The sonoff th16 got none and the pond of course has one via the pump. Can this cause the crc errors. Can temp outside pull down more voltage so the parasite voltage is going down more resulting in less voltage for the sensor? Is the wifi asking more amps outside due to temp or range and pulling down gpio? Any clues?
Distance is 1 meter and cable is normal no coax attached to sonoff outlet. Soldered it to a 2.5mm jack wich fits into the sonoff outlet.
Inside or outside same situation except other 220v outlet and other water. Temperature air inside is 21 degrees outside 10 degrees. Temperature water inside 26 degrees outside 8.
Testing now to ground the water inside also but looks stupid and it is.
Now outside and probe not in water.
