hey guys,
I have a project in mind where i want to create a custom "analog" and lcd instrument cluster. I want to have a stepper based tachometer, three- 7 segment displays for speed and then a pair of 3.5"-5" screens for other obd-ii and comfort information (temp gauges, object avoidance sensors, etc...) I'm running into some issue and would like some advice/guidance from the forums:
Ideally I'd love to run processing.js so i can easily design a 'gui' as well as incorporate a webcam (backup cam). I've found some 5" hdmi screens that would fit the bill nicely. I would like to use something like the udoo or pcduino but those are limited to only 1 hdmi output. I could go with two of those boards but that increases the complexity and price. (two processing scripts, sharing a obd-ii shield, etc...)
The Intel Galileo could be another solution if it is powerful enough and can take advantage of a dual hdmi PCI-e video card.
another option would be to go with a 4d systems screen with the picasso processor. but that limits the gui and ties me down to their product.
what would you guys do in my situation?
thanks
