Duemillenova - Programmer not responding

Hi

I've been playing around with the Batsocks Tellymate Shield and appear to have fried my board. I'm running the board off a Mac (OS 10.5.6, Core Duo Mac Book Pro)

The symptoms are:

Any upload attempt fails with a:

Using Port : /dev/tty.usbserial-A7006SO0
Using Programmer : stk500v1
Overriding Baud Rate : 19200

avrdude: Send: 0 [30] [20]
avrdude: Send: 0 [30] [20]
avrdude: ser_recv(): programmer is not responding
avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

avrdude: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding

The built-in LED on PIN 13 is flashing very fast - about 20Hz. I can see the RX LED light up when I attempt an upload and the serial monitor responds correctly when I jumper the TX & RX ports together.

My guess is that I've corrupted the sketch somehow. Is the board unsaveable now is there something I can do to reflash it?

Oh yes - one other thing. I have a Diecimila as well - can I swap the AVR chips if the Due is broken or are they incompatible?

you can swap the chips, no problem.

Thanks, I'll try swapping them around and seeing if that works. If it does I can just fit a new AVR
