Hi guys im new here. By new i mean im new to this world, engineering/programming/robotics and stuffs.
Im a college student by now and we have a project that is waaaaaaaaayy far to our course.
Our project goes like this.
Just like that thing.
Its a dumbbell that has an alarm clock in it.
The alarm clock rings then for you to stop it you need to do like 20-30 reps i dont know.
So yeahh thats it.
Ive done researches and bump to this world.
It says that i should use an accelerometer and also i need a board/microcontroller i dont know what the right term is.
And so i did. I bought an ADXL345 accelerometer and a Gizduno V/Gizduino 328 something.
When i bought the accelerometer the technician tested it and he said so many things that i dont even understand. then he shows the output of it like this.

Something like that, he says that its a 3 axis so it measures the x,y,z axis z as the tilt. I understand that part then he showed me the code thats when he lost me again : 
I've done some codes before, some vb php html due to some subjects that ive been through.
Problem is i dont even know what im doing, and what im going in to.
I badly need your help guys.
I try to copy the codes and the connection of the accelerometer to the microcontroller and somehow i manage to out put the x y z but problem is it only displays 0 0 0 for the xyz. i need to show my project tomorrow, if i can even show that my accelerometer works and it outputs numbers and i can present to them that im on the right track maybe i can pass through this stage. Pls help me guys. Thank you so much
