Dumping Sketch from Arduino to IDE

Is there any way of downloading what has already been programmed into an Arduino Mega 2650 and viewing it in IDE? I'm using the version 2.0 RC.

No

The best that you could do using avrdude is to download the compiled binary code from the Mega but that will not bring back the sketch that you wrote and allow you to view it

What problem are you trying to solve ?

Thanks. I was not trying to solve anything rather wanted to know if there was a way to dump a sketch from the Arduino back to IDE.
