E-textile/thread/fabric for that gets hold/cold?

I'm working on a project where folded in to the system I want to have different kinds of sensory/haptic feedback. I will have small motors, solenoids, and other haptic actuators, but in addition to that I think it would be great to incorporate control over temperature.

I would imagine that it's possible to have something that heats up and its flexible/compact, but I've never seen anything like that. Cold seems like it would be harder to do, unless it's with fluid or something else.

Has anyone played with temperature feedback?

Maybe a peltier element does what you need.

Interesting. I'll have a look at some of this. I was thinking of having the the surface being flexible/thread-like, but this is a starting point for looking things up.

Heat is easy - just an appropriate length and thickness of nichrome wire.

Cold, there's nothing like that except a peltier junction or piping fluid around.

Perfect!

calculations of heat are needed.
will you be using a powered cart to pull the batteries ?
