eagle solder mask / polygon

I'm working on a arduino related board in Eagle and can't figure out how to get my tstop layer (though created as a polygon) to take same shape as my other polygon if that's even possible. I'm trying to create a heat sink area beneath a DPAK device with only the copper within the area of the top-layer polygon exposed, not the traces and any other vias within that area also exposed. For example in the picture the P1 trace and it's via inside the polygon area would have the copper exposed rather than masked.

The pic is just of a test board I'm using to figure this out.

Can someone help?

edit: forgot to mention, also posted elsewhere, but after I did, and seeing the lack of action there with other posts, I figured this may be a better place. screenshot:

I figured this may be a better place.

So, how is the Arduino interfacing with the software that produced those pictures?

It's not yet, and not really connecting to an arduino, but an arduino type board I'm making, also using the atmega328p. Am I even allowed to post this here, since it's not actually an arduino? If allowed to post this here, is this the right place?

edit: if not posted in right forum, how do I ask an administrator to move it to the correct one, if there is a correct one?

  • thanks.

Anyhow, I did get a response at the other place I posted so no reply needed here. Thanks to anyone who was considering providing a solution.

Use the "Report to moderator" link in any post, to ask that it be looked at. Works for posts in the wrong place, posts that contain unpleasant responses, etc.
