Easiest way to send data to Android from Arduino

This is similar, but simpler, than the "Processing on Android Device" thread started yesterday.

I want to send data from my Arduino to an Android tablet and display it on the tablet. A very simple display will do, like a terminal window on a computer. I do NOT need two way communication.

What is the simplest way?

Thanks, JP.

Bluetooth. $7 for an HC-05

Bluetooth Terminal

And guess what? It is hardly any harder to get a real-time graph on your tablet.

Bluetooth graphics Terminal.

You might find the following background notes useful

That is sounding like a much better option today than it did yesterday. Also, I thought that the bluetooth shields and devices were quite a bit more expensive.

Thanks, JP.

Well, there you go…

If I had realised that you were the one in that thread yesterday, I wouldn’t have bothered saying anything. It just shows how it all depends on how the question was asked…!

Good luck with it, you should find Arduino<>Bluetooth<>Android an excellent combination.
