Easy Driver Fried?

So I was trying to work a stepper motor I recently bought (Nema 17 bipolar (4wires) 12V) with the easy driver (v4.4) and Freetronics Eleven (Arduino UNO compatible)
And as I was connecting the 12V battery I accidentally connected the wrong ends to the easy driver on the soulderless board. (Befor I connected it I had the motor and arduino connected and the arduino was being powered through USB). Anyways as soon as I connected it sparked and I took it after straight away but I could smell the burning smell. Is it possible Ive fried the easy driver? The arduino is fine I tested it with the blink example. But I cant manage to run the easy driver. Also its the first time I'm using the easy driver so I've never run the stepper with it yet. Wiring it up I followed the tutorial on the easy driver website.

the motor specifications are in the attachment image

I think the simplest way to answer your question is to get another Easydriver and try it. Burning smells are usually bad news.

You have not posted a link to the datasheet for your motor so I cannot tell if an Easydriver is suitable for it.

I have just added the image for the motor specifications thanks

And don't post text as an image. I can't read that. Just post a link to the datasheet. If it says 0.4 amps an Easydriver would be suitable. If it says 0.6 amps I think it would be marginal and I would prefer a BigEasydriver or a Polulu A4988 or DRV8825
