Easy to interface gamepad for Arduino?

I'd like to buy a simple wired gamepad (no bluetooth please) that I can easily use on an Arduino.
I could only find controllers with USB connectors or weird console connectors. Nothing with simple I2C, SPI or UART.

I would be okay with taking the controller apart to make it work. But I don't want to spend hours on soldering the thing together. In the end I only need like 4 buttons anyway.

So, do you know a controller that I could take apart easily to solder some wires directly to the buttons? Or maybe a controller that has a simple interface?

Wii nunchuck. There's a bunch of stuff on using it, and SparkFun has a simple adapter (I2C).
