Hello my friends.I had an Arduino Uno and i burn one chip.Can you tell me please the use of this chip.I have searched on internet but i can't find anything. I have upload the image.Thank you.
Its the diode, used to protect board if power is connected backwards.
If it has failed, you probably shorted Vin or 5v to ground. If you shorted Vin, that's probably all that failed. If you shorted 5v to ground and managed to trash the diode, you may have also damaged the regulator.
I connected backwards before that`s why i burn the chip.Now i connected correctly and it works.This is safe?Thank you all for your replies.
