EasyVR "Platform.h: No such file or directory"

Hello folks,

Programming on UNO R3 (IDE v1.6.0) with an EasyVR 2.0 shield attached , I receive the following error message when I verify a code copy/paste from the web:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic\Arduino\libraries\EasyVR\EasyVRBridge.cpp:14:24: fatal error: Platform.h: No such file or directory
#include “Platform.h”

FYI, in my code I do not have any reference to #include “Platform.h”

Question: in EasyVRBridge.cpp, should I change
#include “Platform.h”
by
#include <Platform.h> ?

Many thanks for your input: any feedback will be really appreciated. :o

Include the “Platform.h” in library folder of arduino.

Let us know where you downloaded the library?? share link or ZIP file.

if you added in library of arduino use can use it as

#include <Platform.h>

if using as file ; use it as

   #include "Platform.h"

FYI, in my code I do not have any reference to #include "Platform.h"

As you have spotted it is EasyVRBridge.cpp that appears to have the reference to Platform.h

Some questions. Do you have Platform.h on your PC ? If so, where (exactly) is it located ? Why have you got the EasyVRBridge library in the system libraries folder rather than the user contributed libraries folder in your sketches folder ?

@AMPS Include the "Platform.h" in library folder of arduino OK but where can I download it from please?

Let us know where you downloaded the library?? share link or ZIP file. I did not download "Platform.h" I have just added EasyVR library downloaded from http://www.veear.eu/downloads/ Direct Link: https://github.com/TIGAL/EasyVR-Arduino/releases/download/v1.5/EasyVR-Arduino-library-1.5.zip

@UKHeliBob No, I do not have Platform.h on my PC (FYI fresh Arduino IDE v1.6.0 install): Where Can I download it please? I can't tell you why my EasyVRBridge is in the system lib folders rather than the user contributed lib. Do you want me to re-import EasyVR Lib from the ZIP file?

Thanks for your support & useful feedback guys.

@UKHeliBob I've just re-imported EasyVR library. Now the library path changed in the error message:

C:\Users\Username\Documents\Arduino\libraries\EasyVR\EasyVRBridge.cpp:14:24: fatal error: Platform.h: No such file or directory

include "Platform.h"

Fixed!

Solution:

Download "Arduino IDE v1.5.7 Beta" from: http://arduino.cc/en/Main/OldSoftwareReleases

Unzip and copy the file named Platform.h to: C:\Program Files (x86)\Electronic\Arduino\hardware\arduino\avr\cores\arduino

When I start again my arduino IDE v1.6.0, no more compilation issue :-) Cannot explain why Platform.h has been removed since Arduino IDE v1.5.8(...)

Thanks to UKHeliBob for the link
