Ebay great deals

@CaptainObvious The seller says that LCD uses an ST7920 compatible interface, and DFRobot sell a display that uses the same controller and comes with a library. Maybe you can use that, or at least get a start from it.

Andrew

@Andrew, thanks for the quick research, I think I may go ahead and purchase one in the coming week and report back.. I mean, that's a damn steal.. bigger LCD, with Touch Screen and SD (not to mention the LCD is color!) For ~$10 more.

The same seller also has another good deal on two (2) LCDs, different sizes, both color and have PCB board as well, so don't have to deal with the ribbon and such. (pain for us "noobs") for just $22 with shipping.

I paid $45 for my 1.7" by 2.2" color LCD a little over a year ago I believe.. not complaining but a deal like this almost wants to make me buy one just for a rainy day! lol

They also have some OLED displays for cheap as well.

For North American members, dipmicro (Canada) is good. I purchased some M3 standoffs and nuts. Cheaper combined shippings and fast shipping. They don't have English sizes yet so I am substituting #4 with M3 right now. Hopefully the clearance holes won't be too tight. Will buy some more in the future. Should be cheaper than the red box company since they charge you $2 for A standoff and $1 for A screw. I spent $7USD for 20 plastic M/F standoffs and 100 metal nuts.

One more: 16x2 character LCD $4 from chinaecomponents

Still waiting for it but I think that is a deal

Thanks liudr for the tip on the LCD's, I bought 2 16x2 and 1 20x4 for a really good price.

low power laser modules are fantastic value. I bought some 3mW red laser modules for about £12 ($15) for eight a while back. Sorry don't have a link, but they do turn up quite a lot.

Ditto mini-servos for peanuts.

You're welcom Meinaart. I will buy some more from that seller again. I soldered that LCD on my project ;D  More money to be spent.

I have also purchased from ebay seller szdigitalsquare. 128*64 dot matrix display. Good quality, works out of the box (GLCD library connection type 1). Pins are on the bottom while the display is right side up, just FYI. Shipping took 17-18 days to US. Same price as chinaecomponents but twice the shipping time. I guess I'll go with chinaecomponents again.

Anyone wants to try other sellers? Let's create some accumulated wisdom here.

20 RFID Key Chains for ~$6.25 including shipping.

In my opinion that's a great deal. Waiting for mine to arrive.

Ahh, virtual village. I purchased my lasers from them... No worries.

You got a cheap reader to go with them?

Mowcius

they are great deal

How about cheap servos?

@zachwiej For cheap servo's you should check out DealExtreme.com, and just search on eBay ;).

@mowcius yeah, got 3 Parallax RFID readers. I bought them a few monts ago in New York (while on holiday) at RadioShack.

I was planning on buying only one (for the price on the box: $30), but somehow they were on sale so I bought 3 for $10 each. Great deal ;).

I'd love some RFID, some day maybe...

Here in Poland I can buy rfid mini reader for about 10$ shipped

I can ask how much will cost shipping if You want to

My Parallax RFID reader came with 2 cards (one creditcard type and one "disc"), very handy for testing. And really easy to hook up to Arduino.

But there are cheaper readers out there ;).

Nahh, I know where I can get it but I have no projects for it atm and I am forcing myself not to buy stuff I don't need. I have too much stuff I need to get round to using.

Mowcius

Sounds way to familiar mowcius ;). If only there was a "spare time" shop, that would be awesome ;).

I have looked at them many a time for a source of RC motors. They seem to do a great range at good prices.

I have not bought anything from them yet though. That project has been shelved for a bit :frowning:

I just bought 2 sets of the rfid tags
