EEG signals and Arduino

Hello, Has anyone any idea with EEG signals and Arduino (like OpenBCI) to give some basics? For instance what is the difference between hardware that supports 4-channels, 8-channels, 16-channels?

The number of channels I'll say.

What is the impact of having more or less channels?

More data to handle?

Hope you have your isolation sorted.

EEG not ECT!

So with more data I get better signal out of the brain waves?

I didn't get it...

No, just more data. Many signals will contain same signal as other sensors. You will have to sort out to get the signal you want.

Can you give me an example? Thanks..

Example? No. But understand, you are getting streams of numbers. It is up to you to make a "signal" if that is what you want. Each of your sensors will pick up more than one EEG signal and you will have to process the stream of numbers to sort them out. That is what EEG processing is all about. I don's see you doing it on a computer less powerful that a top of the line PC.
