EEPROM LifeSpan

Hello, I have an EEPROM lifespan question. I am writing to my EEPROM once every cycle so as to keep track of what cycle my system is on. A cycle takes 3.5 mins. I wish to achieve 50k cycles. So at 1 EEPROM write every 3.5 mins for 50k cycles, am I in danger of ruining my EEPROM?

The lifespan of one cell is at least 100000 write/erase. I don't think you risk something, and also you could write to another cell every 1000 cycles or so to ensure you will almost never have a dead cell.
