EggDuino and EggBot help needed

Hi!

Sorry if the topic is under wrong category.

I am using Arduino Uno with CNC Shield. Have successfully flashed Eggduino firmware on the board. When I plug the USB in, the servo motor moves.

I get an error with the Inkscape extension: Failed to connect to Eggbot :frowning: when i click apply.

I can not understand what goes wrong. Would be great if I could choose a COM port somewhere.
What could be wrong?

did you read this ?

Does this help:

https://www.evilmadscientist.com/forums/topic/inkscape-cannot-find-egg-bot-port/

I did read all this, but seems that the filesystem of Eggbot has been changed. My Eggbot in Inkscape was up and running, but none of the mentioned files were in the folder. I installed Eggbot extension later by coping the Eggbot files in the folder, but have not tried to change the files afterwards.

Eggbot.py does not contain the mentioned "Try any devices which......"

My file has only 1169 rows. The mentioned data should be between row 1355-1360...

Are there any other ways to use or test the Eggbot or only Inkscape and this one extension?

i change to other extension Gcode Tools. generate file and send it over "GRBL Controller" and "GRBL Plotter".

I installed the 32 bit 0.91 ver Inkscape and old version of Eggbot.
I now got all the files like in the istructions. I have made changes in the files and the old version gives at least an error

I've no direct experience with Eggbot, but I wonder if it is a version issue? What does the Eggbot docs/wiki have to say about the versions of Inkscape, Python and any other software it needs?

The board is flashed with Eggduino firmware now.

I will try a Grbl project today. Then I could use any Gcode sender to talk to the board.

I am having the same exact issue. Did u have any success on getting it to work?

Not with Eggbot.

Flashed a modified Grbl project on my uno. Had problems with motor movement and speed. Looked like it would lack power. After intense testing I destroid the EEPROM of my UNO. Have a new board, but did not have time and will to test it again.
