At first I thought oh, another PCB holder, they've been around since God was a boy. But it's actually quite clever.
I'm not convinced I'd use one but I'm tempted to back it.
Rob
Rob, I was looking at your website and realised that you are the guy that used to sell his photographic works at the Kingston bus depot markets in Canberra some years ago. From memory you used to have a small grey bus (Bedford or Commer ?) that you displayed photos behind the side windows of. You have previously mentioned that you lived here but I never made the connection to that "photo guy" at Kingston. It is a small world isn't it ![]()
Yes that was me, doing my Ansel Adams impersonation
Small world alright.
Although the truck belonged to Col Ellis, he took over that space when I hit the road.
I miss Canberra and have been following the maker shed (MHV) move to that fantastic ex-water police venue in Belconnen with interest. It's almost enough to make me move back as there's no maker movement up here (that I can find anyway).
Rob
As is often the case with me, I only get part of the story right 8) Yes I still have to get along to MHV one day and also I had not realised that they have moved. Good to see that the ACT govt is presumably supporting the maker movement

It appears so, they were keen to make the transition happen for the group and it's such a great location you would think every man and his dog would have wanted it.
EDIT: For those who have no idea of the place we are referring to (which must be just about everyone), here's a video
Is that not the coolest maker space ever?
Rob
Hey Rob, how come you know more about what's going on here in Canberra than I do. I have got to get out more. I wonder if that video clip was filmed from the UAV. That is such a great location - somebodies gotta be on the take ![]()
Just kidding and a great video to boot. I have definitely got to check that out this year and thanks for the heads up.

I have my ways...oh and I'm on the mailing list, that's helped ![]()
There seems to be a lot of interest in quad copters in the group so I'd say it was shot from one.

Me too! I'll have to start saving my pennies.
Hi, the placement machine can wait, I prefer to make and assemble my own circuit boards, that just takes the fun out of it.

Now there's tool porn.
Tom....... 8)
Hah, that's nuffin, I'm pretty sure I'll get one of these soon
Not sure which model yet. Or maybe this instead
But the scopes are never very fast on USB instruments.
Rob

Yeah but does it come with cable, espn, fox, discovery, history channel?
Tom....... ![]()
Doesn't have Fox.

Doesn't have Fox.
I wouldn't buy it then. The probes won't be fair and impedance balanced.
No, that's a good thing. Fox 'scopes would just tell you the signal is poor because of something the left channel did, and that ground is just white, and that's the way it is, kids.
