Elegoo smart car v4.0 help

I have an elegoo smart car v4.0 and have owned it for about a year.recently is has not been driving and a red light keeps flashing.I have checked to see if it is recieving commands and it has so I don't know what's going on.please respond soon

Edited:I have charged the robot and now it won't do anything and the light isn't on

How do you know that it is receiving commands ?

I think that means the battery is running low.

I have charged it and now it won't drive

I can see that whenever I use the app the tx and RX light on the arduino light up

Hi,
Do you have a DMM to measure the battery voltage?

Thanks.. Tom... :+1: :coffee: :australia:

Is the red light still flashing?

yes, its intermittent

yes, I have a dmm and its around 8.19 volts

Hi,

If that is plugged into the DC socket or Vin then you may be having regulation problems.
The internal 5V regulator will only just work at 7V, if the 7V drops so does the 5V to the controller.

What is the battery that you are using?

Thanks.. Tom... :+1: :coffee: :australia:
PS. I'm off to bed, goodnight. :sleepy:  :sleepy:

I could replace the arduino board

Hi,

Direct connection from what to where?
What is your battery, what does it have written on it?

Tom... :+1: :coffee: :australia:

I put a direct connection from the battery to the arduino board.its an elegoo battery that was included in the kit. the battery has elegoo written on the top of it @TomGeorge

Can you post pictures?

of what?

The battery and the connection to the Arduino

I can't right no so I will get back to you when I can take a photo

I have replaced the arduino board and the red light has gone away but now the motors are being grounded somewhere @TomGeorge
