Is there a way to send to Outlook? if not why is that?
Does google only send to other gmails? Is that why I can't do gmail to outlook? Could I send from Outlook to Outlook?

The response says it. The server thinks you are sending too much "spam". It may interpret the Arduino email sends as spam.
I found the best way to send email is using SMTP2GO. Maybe there are other services just as easy to use, but I'm not aware of them yet.

The 20 emails limit is a bit annoying during development and that's why I tried the procedure you described here.

I found a solution: to overcome the 20 email limit of smtp2go free which is clearly annoying during development (of my home protection system) I am using the Sparkfun web logging allowing up to 50MB. The i/f is straight forward. I think it's worthwhile publishing this service in our community
