Encoder Conversion

How could I set the value of an Encoder to equal a set value per complete revolution. I need the value that is displayed to increment by 11 on each full revolution of the encoder. Currently I will be using a KY-040 but would it be better to use a Absolute Encoder. I read that it can save the value in case power is turned off.

Any Suggestions?

Just map whatever the real number of ticks for a full rotation to 11

Say you have have T ticks for a full rotation then if you got t ticks, your mapped value is 11.0 x t / T
