Hmmm, I was not familiar with reinterpret_cast, but after looking it up, it looks like a very useful function. Creating a struct could make things easier to piece together and then reinterpret it. Definitely something to consider. I appreciate the suggestion and lesson.
P.S. Newspaper sections would be compared to the different topics within this forum...I don't read the ones I'm not interested in.
