I am looking around for end effectors and found http://www.active-robots.com/products/robots/lynx-a-gripper.shtml
The "BCM Gripper with Servo"
is looking interesting (and with an okay price), but are there alternatives in the area around that price?
My plan is to make a model inspired by this
just with the servo's i got laying around, and in lexan.

And here is the first model of it
still need to add more details to the servo and the "lower arm"

And just found the power supply for it.
And if I am reading the datasheet correctly
5V - 5A (for servo's)
12V - 2.5A (for the Arduino)
should be fine for it, and at the same time I will be able to connect the servo's to the power supply without any voltage regulators (already got a similar in 12V and that is very stable)

And going to test the design today
Printed the drawings out in 1:1 scale, so I can just tape it on the lexan and follow the lines. Can't wait to see how this turns out.
