End stops problems

Hello everyone and thank you very much in advance.
I am finishing building a cnc for laser with arduino cnc shield v3 with grbl 1.1. Everything is correct but now I wanted to put the final stops with their N/O switches.

I have activated $21=1 and on the Arduino board I have connected only one switch for testing. The connection is such that: the COM cable connects to the black pin of the board and the N/O cable connects to the white pin (side by side in the end stops section of the board).

My surprise comes when with a single switch it makes me stop in all the axes, that is, I can have the switch connected to the board for +X, for example, and whether I move the machine along the +X, -X, + And, -And, with a single switch it stops them all for me.

Do you know what it could be due to?

Thank you.

Maybe its meant to be an emergency stop.

Thanks for the reply.
But then how do I make sure that shield does not interpret it as an emergency stop but as an end stop?
